Ex-employees of Shomi put up site offering their services

While the closure of Rogers and Shaw’s streaming platform Shomi may not have a huge effect on the Canadian public (which always preferred Netflix anyway), there’s a select demographic that’ll experience some pretty serious fallout — its former employees.

On November 30th, over 100 employees of Shomi will be out of a job, and they aren’t taking the dismissal lying down. A group of ‘shomies’ have put up a website at hireshomi.com that offers the services of its crew.

“These people built an incredible product and company, from the ground up,” states the website.

The rest of the site is categorized by division, such as ‘QA’ and ‘admin.’ Inside those categories Shomi employees are listed along with their titles, contact information and LinkedIn profiles.

MobileSyrup has reached out to a Shomi team member for comment on the project.
