The Google Play Store is home to a wide variety of Android applications, along with all kinds of other media like movies, TV shows, and games. Finding something in the store isn’t always easy, and for a long time, seeing how much space an app download takes up was a complicated task that required a lot of searching.
This week, the Play Store team appears to be testing out a couple of different new layouts for the App section of the store, including one that makes viewing app sizes significantly easier. Some users are reporting seeing the app’s file size appear even in the Top Charts list.
However, Google tests new designs all the time and there is no guarantee the feature will make it into to make it into a future update. The change currently does not require a Play Store update and seems to be server side, so it could appear or disappear at any moment for users.
