Uber announced today that it has expanded its ride-sharing service in three additional cities in Ontario: Windsor, Kingston, and the Niagara Region.
The San Fransisco-based company stated that eager riders will be able to get “access to the safety, convenience, and reliability of Uber at prices cheaper than a traditional taxi.” As usual, to gain momentum, Uber is offering new users a free ride up to $20 until Sunday, November 15th.
While Uber is still facing tension from politicians around the country about its legality and safety, the company is currently operational in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Quebec City, and Edmonton. It’s also expected to arrive in Winnipeg but is still banned in Vancouver.
Update: Uber has also expanded service in Quebec, now reaching the South Shore and North Shore of Montreal. Specifically in these areas:
North Shore
– Laval
South Shore
– Longueuil
– Brossard
– St. Hubert
– St. Lambert
– Greenfield Park
