HTC US posted a Tweet yesterday stating that HTC One owners can expect an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat (including Sense 5.5) “by the end of January.”
Canadian carriers are usually a bit slower to communicate and deliver upgrade schedules, but Rogers has stepped up and confirmed their plans for the two phones. According to their “OS Upgrades” schedule, Rogers is planning to bring Android 4.4 KitKat to the HTC One and HTC One Mini sometime “late January 2014.” Of course, things might change, as the fine print that states “release dates are subject to change.”
Only 2.5 months to go…
Update: Rogers has updated their schedule and it now seems that the HTC One Mini upgrade to KitKat has been pushed to “Late February.” Again, these “release dates are subject to change.”
