    YES!

    • JUST SAYING

      THANKS MOBILESYRUP

    • JUST SAYING

the 7″ tablet updated to 4.1.1 through kies only

  • Darren

Speaking from experience – boy, is Android ever a pain in the ___ to navigate on a tablet after you’ve gotten used to the PlayBook UI. Not trolling, it’s the truth. Bought my son a Lenovo tab to use for gaming and I’d rather gouge out my own eyes than use that thing.

    • Captain Falcon

      Seems pretty harsh. Try webOS?

    • Brad F, Brad F(anboy), jack

I’m trying to troll but you’re doing a better job.

    • Brad F

who the hell buy a lenovo tab, stop being a cheap dad

    • Slappy

I would agree to a certain extent..but you can try different launchers afterall. I’m trying one of the GO launchers now for tablets, forget it’s name. I already like it much better.

  • Ryan Pond

Still hasn’t made it here. Running the Tab 2 10.1 Wi-fi GT-P5113 in Houston, TX

  • David

Not available yet. In Vancouver, B.C.

  • Yuprules

Wait is this only for the 10″ model?

  • jvill

Yep. Received the jelly bean update notification last night. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113. Vancouver, BC

  • Francis Thibault

10” only? not mentioned in the article.

  • Hilman

Too bad my original GTab 10.1 won’t get any JB love :(

  • MatLeGeek

If your update is not showing up try using KIES on pc. My GTAB 2 7.0 update was done that way :)

  • rich

I’ve got JB 4.2 with multi-user and it’s great so 4.1 is a step back for my tab 2

    • Rick

How did you get 4.2 of your galaxy tab 2 7″

  • The_Salesman

I did it on mine this morning, and the update reset all your home screens configurations… Took me a lot of time to get them the way I like them, WTF Samsung ? (I’m saying Samsung, because Stock Android doesn’t lose your configuration, never had a problem with my Nexus S since 2.3…)

  • jimmy the gee k

Where the f u c k is the galaxy note update for telus!?

  • Craig

Coming in on KIES for the P3113 in Montreal.

Give Nova Launcher a try, speed up the animation to .5x and it is as smooth as butter.

  • Rawle

Got my Galaxy 2 7 inch updated today to Jelly Bean Toronto Canada

  • speed

Just ran the update on my GT-P3113 in Ottawa. As The_Salesman said, it wiped out all my home screen settings. Hope the update is worth the extra work in re-setting-up everything!

  • michael@smichaelgroup.

    Great software application.

  • Lifesasurf

Updated this morning, Home screen has changed to a default. Will work it out. All seems to be working well. Time will tell.

  • Kate Mills

Got mine OTA this morning, still sorting out my home screens though :-P

  • RS

As excited as I am, I can’t seem to get JB on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. I’ve tried several times using Kies and it freezes after downloading the upgrade files. I’ve reinstalled Kies and the usb drivers….no luck. Any suggestions?

  • The Peddle

I had to plug my Tab 2 10.1 into kies to get it. @RS it only looks like it freezes, I thought the same thing the first time and stopped it. The second time it did the same thing and I just left it, it will seem frozen for about a half hr, just leave it and don’t touch the tab either. It will begin downloading to the tab after that.

    • RS

Thanks for the response. Instead, I just updated on the tab itself OTA.

  • Canadian Samsung Fan

Updated mine OTA today morning in Markham, Canada. All in all it took approx 20 mins. Haven’t done much after the update, but it seems ok.

  • hmmmmm

I won’t update it sadly cause I won’t be able to watch videotron’s mobile tv on it with jelly bean…thing I can’t do on my note 2 since flash is not supported and the flash plugin made by some developers didn’t seem to work either

    • monsterduc1000

If your device was running flash before jb, it will after as well. Browsers such as the stock or Boat Browser still run flash, and I dont see why your Videotron tv app would not work after the update if you still have flash installed.

    • crimsona

Running flash no problem using Boat Browser with a sideloaded Flash APK on Nexus 7 with 4.2

    • hmmmmm

Ok thanks,I might give it a try then…they changed the mobile tv site, you need an app to view it instead of just a browser and the app is not compatible on my note 2 but it is on the tablet, a bit weird since my note 2 is stronger so I guess the app on the tablet will stay intact after the upgrade…

  • sb

I just did the update on my 27.0 but it doesnt appear to have the screen capture button at the bottom anymore can someone please tell me where i can find it

    • David

The screen capture is now done by holding the power button and volume_down button together for about 1.5 seconds.

  • josh

I did the upgrade on 2 tab 2 devices now it keeps saying my password for wifi is incorrect. I doubled checked router setting and know everything is good. Help Someone!

  • Jimmy

Lol Lenovo! If you can’t buy Google then its Samsung. (Tablets)

  • David_N.

One sad thing in particular after JB upgrade; the Peel Smart Remote stopped functioning. I’ve read a forum with other similar findings. I hope there’s an upgrade soon.

Looks like the rest of the world is not getting Android 4.2.2. Any word from Samsung on when it will arrive in Canada for the Tab 2?

  • batkinson001

got the 4.1.1 update, it works well, what countries have got the 4.2.2 one?
