Rogers Windows Phone 8X HTC can now be ordered online

Although no official press release has been sent out, nor do I think stores have received their inventory, Rogers has placed the Windows Phone 8X HTC on “Order Now” status online. It also seems that the 16GB version in blue is available, but not the 8GB exclusive black model (wrong picture posted online). As expected, this slim, dual-core, WP8 device can be yours for $99.99 on a 3-year or $549.99 on a month-to-month. Other notable specs of the 8X have it sporting an 8MP camera, Beats Audio and a 4.3-inch display. Certainly one of the nicest WP8 devices to be released.

I will wait for someone else to carry this phone

If this was android with Youtube movie rentals and Google Music’s cloud service, 16gb would be enough, but it’s not.

    • George K

Yeah, when will Microsoft create a cloud music service and a streaming video service. Oh wait…they already have.

So you agree that the Nexus 4 is just as bad as this device then? I say this because the HTC 8x will have access to Microsoft’s streaming music and movies. Both of which are excellent.

I doubt you’ll say anything because you’re probably just another fan boy greasing up for his own little circle jerk.

ha, does that mean the phone is ‘launched’? didnt think so. Rogers, give it a rest.

  • GOD

Love the design of the phone… it feels so rugged but so sophisticated at the same time.. Can’t wait to see the sells of this device.

HTC’s hands are linked with Apple, so thanks but no thank you.

  • Is this WP8

Samsung and HTC only produce WP handsets because the alternative is that Microsoft uses its patents to claw back $8 on each of their in demand phones.

If they don’t believe in it, then why would I ever choose to be an early adopter. This is Microsoft. Even when they improve, internal politics causes upper management to sabotage the product until it is killed off: Tablet OS, WebTV, The KIN, MS Mobile, Zune, HD-DVD, WP7, MSN Messenger, Passport ID, Hotmail, …

Microsoft IS collecting license dollars for every phone that HTC and Samsung sell. HTC’s revenue is diminishing significantly with every quarter, they’re definitely placing their bets that the HTC 8X will take off, which is obvious based on the refreshing design that speaks volumes on their level of commitment.

You’re free to use what you want in the end, but the Surface is a really great product. I’m not even tempted to go back to my iPad.

I love my ZuneHD! I’ve had it for about three years now and still use it daily. Better than iPod for music and video hands down. My next Windows Phone will 16-32g and at that point will use it since they work just as well really. Looks like the Zune will become my end-table buddy at night :)

Oh I forgot, Surface RT is a dog. They’ve cut staff from 6-8 down to 2-3 in Oakridge

IE10 as the exclusive web browser isn’t really helping word of mouth — even thought sounded like a great plan in the powerpoint delivered to the C-suite

Ain’t nobody want a contract with Rogers

  • EvanKr

The 8X’s display seems disproportionately small for its body.

  • Tk

I want that yellow version.. Too bad they don’t have it

    bring back the iphone3

today’s ‘launch’ was anything but successful. No one had it. On a somewhat positive side, my HTC 8x reservation just went to ‘in progress’.
