Motorola RAZR HD LTE coming to Rogers “this fall”

A new Motorola device cometh to Rogers “this fall.” According to the internal do we received it shows that Rogers will exclusively welcome the RAZR HD LTE to their lineup, probably in October. No indication of price points yet but the specs have it running Android, coming with a 4.7-inch display that’s made of Gorilla Glass, and boasts an “all day battery.”

Update: Here are some additional specs of the RAZR HD LTE: 4.7-inch 720p display, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich – promised an upgrade to Jelly Bean, 2,500mAh battery, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, Kevlar backing and the display is also made of Gorilla Glass.

Update #2: Motorola Canada has now posted a note on their Facebook page advertising the RAZR HD LTE. No pricing, but a clearer image of the device.

Can’t remember the last person I saw using a Motorola phone.

  • BB10

    Is this BB10?

  • shadyguy

Looks like a nice phone – the real downfall here is the exlusive Rogers Bull####.

  • Plazmic

Is this one going to have the same 3,300 mAh battery as the Droid Razr Maxx in the USA??

    • Sean

The Razr Maxx HD LTE will have a 3300 mah battery though I have yet to hear if it will come to Canada, hope it does though

Read the freaking article before posting

  • shadyguy

About 2,500 mAh is what Motorola is leading people to believe.

  • Kostas Kritsilas

The regular RAZR HD will have a 2500 mAH battery. THe RaZE Maxx HD will have a 3300 mAH battery. The RAZR HD gets about a 50% increase in battery capacity, while the RAZR Maxx HD stays the same. Motorla’s presentation said that the RAZR HD can stream 10 Hours of Vidoe using LTE. Shounds like goot to great battery life span for a very slim device, if true. The RAZR Maxx will still have a longer battery life, but will be thicker overall.

Don’t post here much do you?

  • guluyan

No thanks, I’d rather have the razr maxx hd with 3300mah battery.

  • elektrovaporx

Motorola’s RAZR is garbage! Lots of issues with the first RAZR! Haha, “promised an upgrade to JellyBean”…yeah about 10 months after it’s released. How long did people have to wait for ICS on the first RAZR? FOREVER!

    • RA56

Bought the phone last December and finally got ICS August 30th

  • shadyguy

I was all over the Razr HD until I heard it was exclusive ot Rogers – Why Rogers? Rogers blows.

  • C. Carmine

I’m not too upset, while the Razr might be exclusive to Rogers, that leaves a MASSIVE window of opportunity for Telus to get the Razr Maxx HD!! Which is the one I want anyways with the bigger battery!

    Please get this phone Telus!!!

    • Ron Mexico

Sorry, Bell is getting the Maxx ;)

    • Plazmic Flame

      @Ron – Source?

  • shadyguy

I think Google is smarter than to let Rogers sink their brand new line of phones I would hope. Even if Rogers opened up the fattest wallet. Hope the Maxx does go somewhere else.

  • Captain67

looks a lot nicer than the first razr, that’s for sure.

  • Robbie

There is no point in getting this Phone as they will release the Razor Max HD right behind months later.

  • Plazmic Flame

The problem is, why the hell did Motorola grant Rogers an exclusive?!?

  • Razruser

Glad to hear that Rogers is once again carrying this phone. I used the razr XT910 very much and I am satisfied with it. It look like a brand new phone after recent upgrade to ICS 4.04. The ICS running in Razr now closely resembles to that of the Galaxy Nexus, no other phones like (Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony) have ICS UI so close to a nexus device. Look at the apps drawer and other applications like the Calender, calculator,Alarm clock, and the way the widgets load, etc. They are pretty much stock ICS. people complaining about slow in software upgrade, there are always custome Rom or leaked Roms available in the XDA-developer web site. Also, Motorola starts to release unloaked bootloader phone in US since their last phone, The Motorola Photon 4G. So this phone may come with an unlocked bootloader, who knows? You can also unlock it with a small cost to work on other carrier network. This is going to be another high end phone which can challenge SGS3 and the HTC one and the LG optimus 4G HD.
