The Motorola Defy Pro is a rugged Android-powered device that just landed at Rogers. We let you know pricing last week, but this little beast can take a beating and can be yours for $274.99 outright, or as low as $0.01 on a 2-year contract. We had some hands-on time with this QWERTY/touchscreen few weeks back, pretty solid device for the price. Check out our quick overview here.
This has not made it online at Rogers, but stores have it in stock.
Rogers releases the BlackBerry Bold 9900.. AGAIN!

Got to play with this little guy at work a few days ago. Solid little android device. Also, the $0.01 pricetag is for voice and data only, where with voice only is believe is $50 of $30.

Virgin has the Samsung Galaxy S2 (international version i9100M) for $50 plus $50 Tab.
Koodo has the Galaxy S2x for $300 or if you activate it $300 – $100 Gict card from Presidents choice, FS or BB.
Then you have tthis phone at $280…mhh tough choices!

Free on a 2year contract? Wow, is Rogers starting to be a bit more reasonable? Can we see more of these 2year (or less) contracts on mid-range devices?
Now if only their monthly costs were more reasonable…….

This phone is pretty neat, I like it more than the Galaxy Rugby for a rugged smartphone. Solid phone from Motorola

9900 RIP OFF! No RIM isn’t dead maybe this is proof that companies try to confuse people who don’t know jack about phones and see this and think its a Bold.

First, people will have to know what a Bold is.

Buy an Otterbox for a BB.
A lot cheaper…..

It won’t beat the splash and submersion ratings this phone has. It can be submerged up to 1 metre for an hour. Otterbox is nowhere near IP67 dust and impact certifications either. Plus, its actually running a useful and current OS.

Buy a $40 case for a $400 phone who’s company is dying or the $250 phone that’s solid on it own who’s company was recently purchased by the Biggest player in this market. I love your math.

Well the other option is buy a $210 phone that does a better job and get a decent case….but people do love that Qwerty keyboard.

Even though Motorola and RIM supposedly cross-licenced, etc etc, this phone is BLATANTLY a rip-off of the Bold!
I mean, it even has the horizontal frets in between rows of keys!
