Rogers recently discontinued the BlackBerry Bold 9790 from their lineup, but that doesn’t mean the OS updates are stopping. OS version 7.1.0.523 is now available to Bold 9790 users – you can go forth and download this, but as always, make sure you back up before proceeding.

Download it here via BlackBerry

Hopefully this update fixes the battery draining and battery getting extremely hot issues. I had this blackberry for a few days from Koodo Mobile and it was a piece of garbage, Battery drained completely without even using the phone after 3 hours, and if I were to use it for 5 minutes looking at a website, back of phone would get extremely hot and I couldn’t hold the phone cause it was so hot. I brought it back to Koodo for a full refund. And now I got a SGS2 and its amazing.

@ teddygramz…took Rogers long enough for what? RIM releases the updates, not Rogers.

  • Ryu

@Draven…. This update was available from RIM probably since the beginning of this year. The delay was Rogers doing their carrier specific meddling…
