Rogers expecting to push out Galaxy Note ICS upgrade on July 21st

This brings a bit more clarity to the Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. Some carriers have stated users can expect to see OS 4.0.1 hit their device “late July,” but this internal doc shows Rogers pushing through the upgrade on July 21st – which is oddly a Saturday.

We’ll have more info on this soon…
(Thanks tipster!)

  • ASH

this is not like Rogers. Someone there must be on dobe!

  • joey

“Way ahead of schedule for the update”

    LMAO

    “4.0.1″

    Facepalm

  • mehmeh

    4.0.1? What a joke.

  • ICS

If you haven’t been running CM9 on your Note you’ve been losing out anyway. What’s the point of waiting for Rogers and TELUS upgrades when something better has been available for over a month?

    • joey

I’m running CM9 but I have been waiting forever for the carriers to release the ICS update so samsung can finally release the ICS source. Only then can we see S-pen functionality integrated natively into ROMS.

      I’m loving CM9, but I also miss S-pen, S-Memo, and S-Calender.

  • Anthony E.

@ICS Does any of the S-Pen functionality work on CM9?

    • Denny

Not sure about CM9 but if you go for Team Perfection’s ICS Objection, they ported S thingies for ICS. Try it especially, if you are an AT&T user. :)

  • someguy

Desperately waiting…..Rogers plz be quicker this time

  • Mark

    Gotta go fast

  • Eluder

Since Telus is just as delayed, doesn’t this lead one to believe that it’s Samsung causing this delay? That just seems logical to me.

  • Robert Yuna

Does our tipster know when the Sony ARC ICS update is coming to Rogers? Thanks in advance.

  • subgeniuschick

Well heck – they have to get the update out at least a month or two before they release the Note II right? Buggers.

  • Big boy

Listen it’s better to spend more money and buy a non branded device than a branded one. Carriers always waste time and put garbage in the software. Non carriers always receive updates faster. Lol when devices get old then they relapse the update which is old and the next one is about to be released.
