Instagram has pushed out an upgrade to both the iOS app and Android app. iOS – which is good for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch – has been updated to version 2.5.0, while the Android app gets bumped to version 1.1.4. The biggest change is to the iOS app as it received a slight overhaul, specifically to the “Explore” tab. This groups together all the popular photos and also includes a search box where you can find both photos and users by hashtags. The full change log of both apps are listed below:

What’s New in Apple iOS Version 2.5.0:
- Revamped profile tab
- Search for users and tags in the Explore tab
- Improvements to commenting
- User search autocompletes based on people you follow
- Visual improvements
- Speed optimizations
- Optionally share likes to Facebook (enable in your Profile > Sharing Settings > Facebook)

What’s New in Android Version 1.1.4:
- Improved search functionality
- Support for location data taken from Gallery images when geotag is selected
- Fix for HTC Sensation 4G freezing using tilt shift
- Improved support and bugfixes for devices using the Instagram advanced camera
- Addresses tilt shift issues on lower resolution images
