Excuse my ignorance but what is this tablet’s competitive advantage versus say, an asus transformer prime?

    • Anon

From what I can see, the transformer prime beats in every way possible. Better screen, better cpu, just as thin, better battery, and twice the storage. WTF is Toshiba thinking?

  • Tom

Another pretty decent sounding tablet with its potential squashed by an unreasonable price.

I would also be pretty hesitant to buy anything without ICS, not because I mind waiting a month or two for the upgrade to arrive, but because I don’t that it really will arrive when they say (if ever).

(Maybe I’m being unfair to Toshiba, but I’m assuming they have the same integrity as the other Android manufacturers.)

  • Dizz

Clearly, Toshiba hasn’t learned anything. Too pricey, and Honeycomb. WTF?

  • MikeW

So it cost more because it’s thin? I’ll Pass on this one.

  • Allyouranusarebelongtous

This tablet…at this price, serves no purpose…

  • Mike

I object to the use of the word “outright” here.
As if you could buy it on contract?

  • Nickn

Overpriced, $350 to max $399 should be a price range for this tablet as specked.
At this price point – no thank you, will pass in a big half circle.

  • David

Who says there’s no next HP touchpad? This is it!

  • Kid.Canada

Too many android tablets out there already, but sadly these OEMs still don’t get it. And also Toshiba is a little confused here releasing Honeycomb when everyone’s going for ICS

  • Clockwork

    $550 for 16GB. I bought my Prime for $499 which has 32GB.
I wanted to get this one for the wife, I’ll wait till it goes on sale a week after it’s launched.
    Re-DONK-ulous.

where can i buy this in bulk?

  • rgp905

Yawn, over priced, low specs, non competitive, waste of space at this price point! Like everyone else says $349.99 maybe..

  • cheenachatze

They call this “Excite”? Shouldn’t it be named “DOA”?

  • Sonny

Toshiba, welcome to RIM’s world where your new releases suck donkey @#$! …

  • Thriveowner

They can’t even support the tablets they have out right now, why release another! Go Asus!
