If you’re into the unboxing thing then this will certainly appeal to you. “Sony Mobile Communications” is the new name for the now defunct Sony Ericsson and the first device us Canadians will be able to officially hold is the Xperia S. It’s expected to arrive sometime in the Spring, carrier currently unknown, but in the meantime you can take a peak of how the retail packaging and branding will look. The video shows the UK version so the contents we’ll get will be slightly different. Personally, looking forward to spending a bit more time with the Android device – love the design of the translucent light bar.

Wow!!! Its a nice phone. I cant wait to have my hands on this one. Have you any news of the specs?

  • mike

That is a pretty slick looking phone.

  • waiting for 3300 mAh battery

    Mmmmmm. Like tearing a hymen.

Amazing & the most sexiest phones out there.. Can not wait until we get it. IF Rogers or Telus does not get it ill make sure i am the first again to get this one from the Sony store.

  • Sammir

Deperately waiting to get this phone,
For the first time am wishing to have white, i hope sony wont disappoint me.

  • shaggyskunk

“The U. K. version slightly different” Well yeah… it can only work on the left.

  • Scott

I’m almost sure this will be a Rogers/Fido device. They seem to have them exclusively until Telus got a hold of the Xperia Ray. It’s definitely a good looking phone. Let’s hope it doesn’t stop there :S

From the Wall charger pin, doesnt looks like UK version.
Seems like some Asian country model wall charger, maybe India.

  • Insert Name

You didn’t flick the back cover with your finger to check material quality :(

  • Phil R

I hink I’m in love with this phone… it’s a thousand time more “design” than any other devices out there, Yeah, I just said that, Iphone.

  • Blah blah blah

As cool a this looks, it seems like every phone with a less than 2000ma battery is now pretty irrelelevent since manufactures are finally putting the effort in to making handsets that actually last.

  • dilkatron

Love this phone. If it was quad core I would do The upgrade in a second.

  • tiesto89

“Xperia NXT Series”? Is that something they announced? I don’t remember seeing that when they announced the Xperia S and Xperia Ion?

  • eh0k

Nice, really liking this device, only thing I am worried about is battery life…hopefully, it comes to more carriers than just rogers!

  • lol

Wow cheers to sony for thinking of of the “box” literally on packaging, unlike samsung and the others who just copy iphone boxes/packaging exactly.

proves that good/luxurious phone packaging is capable without copying apple!

    • Dimitri.k

If you actually look at the Sony boxing you will see how the Blackberry boxes from like 2009 have had that style that Sony is doing. Nokia has a different style of packaging. HTC is also different. Samsung as well. Look at the packaging before you comment next time.

  • krishnakumar

Why is there “Sony Ericsson” written at the back of box?? Did anyone notice?

    • Dimitri.k

I noticed it as well. Its nothing really. Sony most likely wanted to add it as well.

  • limited inc.

how about turning it on and sticking in a sim card!

  • aeyque

  • Allyouranusarebelongtous
