Facebook for Windows Phone getting updated to v2.3 today


The official Facebook for Windows Phone app is getting a bit update today. On Facebook, Microsoft announced that the popular social network app will be getting jacked up to version 2.3 and you’ll see the following addition/fixes arrive sometime today in the marketplace:

“Test out your groups. Visit your pages. Look at who likes your posts. Change the banner image. Check out the improved news feed performance. Use the new filters. Explore the improved navigation.”

• Pages
• Groups
• View “likes”
• Feed filters
• Posting privacy
• Bug fixing

Check for the update via your device, or download it when it arrives from the marketplace here.

  1. Doesn’t matter. It won’t let me open it since I changed my password. I can’t even log into chat, after changing it in the settings.

    • Try deleting your Facebook account entirely (Including app). Return to settings and reapply Facebook account. This should help. Good Luck.

  3. Easily the nicest looking Facebook app. I love how soft the colors are and the typeface is fantastic. If Android’s app looked like that, I would intall facebook back on my phone.

  4. Genuine inquiry here, but isn’t Facebook (as well as Twitter and Linkedin) tightly integrated with WP7 from the start? I thought the People Hub thingy as they have on those live tiles took the role of a facebook app. Does this do something different?

    • Looking at the changes this app allows feed filtering which the hub lets everything through.

      Don’t know about others but I only have this on my start screen because of the notifications
