WIND Mobile to release the BlackBerry Bold 9790?

This is interesting. An update has been pushed out for the WIND Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9790. OS version 7.0.0.609 is now available to download, this is apparently bumped up from 7.0.0.2466. However, if you take a look at the WIND Mobile site this device is not listed, so perhaps it’s going to be released in the coming weeks.

  1. Odd, I don’t seem to recall the 9790 coming out for wind. Don’t see why there’s a carrier specific update for a phone they don’t even have yet.

  3. The 9790 is hardly a phone to get even the slighest bit excited over…may as well buy a 9780 or 9700.

  6. IF the phone is umts/wcdma/LTE able could it be that the update is there for users who want to switch over to wind with their current devive?
