White BlackBerry Bold 9900 arrives at Rogers

Look at that sexy piece of hardware – thin, has a touchscreen, full physical QWERTY keyboard, 1.2 GHz processor, 5MP camera, NFC, but sometimes doesn’t power up and becomes a brick… definitely the best looking white BlackBerry to-date. Rogers has launched the Bold 9900 is white and it’s the same price from the original release: $169.99 on a 3-year and flows upward to $599.99 no-term.

  1. Hey now I have had my Bold for about 3 months now and it hasn`t bricked once.

    But I agree it is a sexy phone!

    • It’s alright, i guess. But it still remains unnecessary, and a white BlackBerry (or Optimus Black, for that matter) just feels weird. i’d rather see more colours of the Curve (9360 and 9380). But again, if more colours is just an excuse to raise the price tag ($350!?) then please just make one.

      The Virgin 9360 on prepaid at $350 would be much better with a $250 price. RIM still makes money off of BBM and BIS. :D

  3. Mine worked fined had since launch.. I just sold it went back to my “back up” galaxy s II.. once the white one comes out gonna go back to a 9900.

  6. dont get my wrong, i use to love my blackberry… but how can a blackberry be worth more than an iphone 4s on a 3yr plan… rim needs to get its pricing in order. Once they do, the blackberries make more sense

  7. I just don’t get the white blackberry thing. White gets gunny looking faster, it looks awful in any of the cases… overall its less effective than black.

    … and I’m pretty much regretting buying the 9900 at this point. It hasn’t bricked on me yet, but i still get lots of strange hangs, the whirling clock is still there WAY too often, the apps still suck… but the kicker is that the battery life is AWFUL! If I don’t have it plugged in during the day, it won’t get through the day. Plus, it seems to go through periods where the battery just dies out in the span of a couple of hours for no apparent reason (no big apps in background, etc…)

    The Primary reason i stuck with blackberry was battery life. With that plus gone, there is no reason not to go with a Nexus and the massive improvement in capabilities that it brings.
