Apple Store app updated to version 2.0, lacks “Easy Pay” and “Personal Pickup” in Canada

Apple has updated their Apple Store app to version 2.0 and brings additional support to tracking your orders – which will come in handy during the upcoming holiday season. A bit of a downer is that the app update lacks “Easy Pay” and “Personal Pickup”.

The EasyPay feature is only available in the United States and gives users the ability to purchase “select accessories” while in the Apple store simply by scanning the barcode. No need to lineup or speak with an Apple employee, just scan and leave (payment is processed through iTunes). The Personal Pickup is also only in the U.S. and allows you to request an product where it’ll be waiting for you to pick up at a desired Apple location within 12 minutes. Personally, I can see the Easy Pay not being here yet, but the Personal Pickup would be useful – no word on when the app will be updated to have these features available in Canada.
