TELUS to release the MOTOKEY SOCIAL, comes equipped with a dedicated Facebook button

TELUS is set to embark on their next device that has a dedicated “Facebook” button. First it was the HTC Status, now it’ll be the MOTOKEY SOCIAL. This will be only be available prepaid and the price is not yet known, for that matter, either is the release date – this is “coming soon”. Specs wise, Moto says this is a “device built for connecting” and comes with a 2.4-inch touchscreen display (320 x 240), full QWERTY keyboard with a one-press button to Facebook, 3MP camera, Wi-Fi and the ability to create a mobile hotspot. Overall dimensions are slim, 103 x 60 x 9.9mm and weighs in at a measly 92 grams.

More soon!

  4. I wonder how much this will cost. If it’s over $100, it’s a fail. Better to get the Optimus One Android from Koodo for $150.

  10. I think they laid off the people who were working on it so they couldn’t finish the design so they decided to release this brick..

  11. It doesn’t make sense to me for Telus to release 2 phones in this niche market.
I mean, the HTC Status was fairly cheap and felt really well built in the hand. This looks rather cheap and plastic like.

  16. Didn’t they release this phone before?? they should’ve called it the Motorola Charm Facebook edition (just like the “Skype edition” phones we are seeing lately from Telus).

  18. No thanks… why go for a feature phone at all these days when a perfectly capable low-end smartphone like the Optimus One exists, can be had without a contract or data plan (or the data saver if you don’t need much), and wipes the floor with this one?

  19. Agreed…that is one MUGLY phone! Seriously, what where moto and telus thinking on this one…lol.

  23. wow/// tough crowd…LOL. moto is all marketing but can’t actual produce a good device. As a TELUS customer I been watching and they have only launched 2 maybe 3 devices I would consider buying ALL YEAR! iPhone 4S (no brainer), GSIIX (double no brainer), and possibily the HTC Amaze. People can’t really be buying these things can they???
