After solid Q1, record setting Q2, HTC has announced their Q3 results and once again they’ve met their targets. HTC Shipped a total of 13.2 million devices that resulted revenue of $4.54 billion, mainly due to its “strong brand recognition, leading product portfolio, and expanded distribution channels”. Some of the devices that were globally released in Q3 were the Sensation XL, a new partnership with Beats with the Sensation XL, HTC Rhyme and the LTE Jetstream tablet. Net income reached $624 million (NT$18.68 billion), an astonishing 68% over last year. HTC stated that the Wildfire became one of their top selling devices and the HTC Cha Cha (aka HTC Status) “continue to push boundaries in driving differentiation” in social networking.

This upcoming Q4 HTC is estimating shipments to hit between 12 – 13 million units, up 20%-30% over last year. In Canada we’ll specifically see the HTC Amaze come to TELUS and the HTC Raider arrive at Bell and Rogers.

  5. Yeah go HTC! Should my friend get an HTC Status, or another Android? Physical keyboard is a must, and the Status feels solid.

As an aside, i’m hoping that Syrup posts “Soloween” news, to proclaim the death of a mobile brand which never dared touch HTC, and probably vice-versa, to be honest.

  6. Who would have thought 2 years ago RIM would drop from #2 to #5 in short a short time?

Great job HTC, now get me a handset with ICS, Amaze 4G camera, Beats Audio, 4.3 inch QHD (HD) display, and I will love you forever.

  7. I hope HTC takes some of that money and puts it into research and apple-copyment, so they can release even better headsets!
