Bell releasing the Motorola PRO+ 4G November 7th

The Motorola Pro+ 4G is coming to Canada and will be available exclusively through Bell on November 7th. This runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), has a 3.1-inch touchscreen that’s made of Gorilla Glass (640 x 480 resolution), full QWERTY keyboard and 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash and video capabilities. Bell and Moto are dubbing this as a “sleek and sophisticated” smartphone that enables you to have your “own personal assistant that fits right in your pocket” – highlighting its ability to multitask and edit doc on the go. The PRO+ 4G also comes with Wi-Fi and the ability to create a Wi-Fi hotspot.

There was no price point listed on the press release but we’ve been informed this will be available for $349.95 outright. Full specs below

    • It is not as good as the 9900 (less RAM, a bit slower CPU), but it is very close, especially since the display is larger.
And the price is much better. Only $350. The 9900 should never have been over this price.

  2. Neat, more Android QMDs, especially from Bell. Their selection of low-end Android devices is kinda bland.

    • Are you out of your mind ??
BTW, Steve Jobs died because he tried to fight cancer with weabo spiritual medicine instead of traditional surgery and chemo. That is seriously f****d-up for a rich genius like that to trust “alternative” medicine so much he died from a benign cancer easily treatable.

  5. Why can’t Rogers get more devices like this? Bold-esque devices with full keyboard and touch-screen. Just not Motorola, their reliability and battery really sucks compared to competition.

    • I agree, but for the time being, Samsung Galaxy Q and Sony Erricson Mini Pro do decent for Android QMDs.

    • I believe it was from his biography… supposedly he admits he was wrong to try and treat it his way and should have used current medicine but like most geniuses, they excel in some areas and lack in others. Jobs always seemed to be a bit heavy on the spiritual side of things and lacked tact/personal skills.. he offset those quirks with his vision, presentation skills and designs ideas.

Too bad though, even though I’m no longer an Apple fan, I think the world could have benefited from his views over the next 15-20 years.

Maybe his passing will remind people that alternative medicine is something that should be used in conjunction with modern medicine.

  7. This would sell like hotcakes on Virgin with no data plan required. This phone is designed for teens obviously.

  9. A real QWERTY keyboard AND running on Android, for under $350?

This NEEDS to support AWS. Please, Motorola? Pretty please?

  10. BurntPixels…the sad thing is that there *is* a version of the Motorolo Pro + with AWS bands.

So far only Bell is advertising a “Pro+ 4G” the other editions are simply “Pro+”

The question now would be whether this being a “Bell Exclusive” means all versions of the Motorola Pro+ or just the “4G” edition that they’re releasing.

  11. “Dual-band WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz”

No one people get confused about the bands supported by these phones – Bell doesn’t have a clue themselves.

Also, I’ve seen them advertise phones that only support 2 bands of 3G as ‘world phones’. Maybe this is because they are GSM vs. CDMA, but it is still totally dishonest!
