Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 users in various countries started receiving the very anticipated upgrade to OS 2.3.3 Gingerbread last week. This is a device that was once stuck at OS 2.1, but this update brings their custom Facebook Inside Xperia interface and better performance and better copy/paste support. However, when Sony Ericsson stated this update would be coming out they said “The exact launch date is depending on market and operators approval, so it will unfortunately not be possible to give precise information on launch dates for each market/operator”… owners of the Rogers X10 were left hanging as the update has not come through yet. However, a quick post by a Rogers Social Media team member on Facebook gives some relief about their intentions. “We will support the update and make it available to our customers. We don’t have timing yet, though. Stay tuned.”
So it’s coming, just no confirmed date.
