JailbreakMe 3.0 now live for iOS 4.3.3 devices (including the iPad 2)

This changes everything, again. The famous and free jailbreak service that gives you control over your iOS device is back in business. JailbreakMe 3.0 is now live and supports iOS 4.3.3 devices, including the iPad 2. Before you proceed to do this make sure you back up your device in case something goes horribly wrong. There’s a video of this in action and it looks to only take a couple minutes to perform. The complete list of supported devices are below but you’ll need to hit up Safari, go to the JailbreakMe website where it’ll look like your were in the AppStore… click the “Free” button, then “Install” and 2 minutes later you’re done.

- iPad1: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPad2: 4.3.3
- iPhone 3GS: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone 4: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone 4-CDMA (Verizon): 4.2.6 through 4.2.8
- iPod touch 3G: 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
- iPod touch 4G: 4.3 through 4.3.3

    • 1) Bring in an android phone, and set up a wireless tether.
      2) Connect to android SSID
      3) Go to jailbreakme.com
      4) Profit

  9. I used this on my day-old Virgin iPhone 4 and it was so fast and effortless that I didn’t believe it was actually doing anything.

When the first iPhone was released I unlocked quite a few and lost a lot of sleep keeping my own updated and unlocked. To think it’s gotten this simple is crazy.

  11. Cydia will not load on my iPhone 4. I upgraded to 4.3.3 on iTunes before heading to jailbreakme.com. I hit the install button and Cydia icon appears for a few seconds saying it is installing, but it won’t load or even appear on my springboard. Help!!

    • I have not found a fix. There’s a place on the iPhone version of jailbreakme.com where you can email comex or saurik if it didn’t work. I did send an email but there’s no telling when or if they’ll reply. I’ve been looking high and low on YouTube the web etc for similar problems and solutions but nothing yet. What is confusing is that like you it worked perfect on my iPad 2. I’m even trying a limera1n jailbreak I found on YouTube for iPhone running 4.3.3. Let me know if you fix your problem and how you did it.
