It’s known that the HTC Sensation is coming to Bell and Virgin. We know that Bell will be releasing this on July 5th but can only think Virgin and SaskTel will also release it on that date, or soon after. As for the price points, the no-contract price will be $549.95 at Bell. the launch is only a few days away but devices have started to trickle into Canada. The above pic shows the unique design of Sensation back, along with the 8 megapixel camera. There are some other sensational specs to this Android: OS 2.3 a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi and a 1.2 front facing camera. Solid.
More soon!
(Thanks tipster!)
I’m surprised if anyone on Bell takes this over the SG2 which comes out pretty soon too.
Rivals to Apple / Samsung really need a comparable screen too.

I prefer this unit over the SGS 2 for 2 reasons: HTC Sense 3.0 over TouchWiz… And The Screen of the Sensation offer better pixel Density, so more details on the same size.
I don’t care about Super amoled Plus which actually drain more battery then regular LCD.

It’s nice to see Canada getting some recognition finally – for a change, we don’t have to wait months to see a launch here at home long after the rest of the world! Thanks HTC, keep them coming
one week to go…..

Samsung S II coming to Bell on the 15th of July, I read that somewhere…both the S2 and Sensation are super phones, I guess it will come down to brand loyalty and/or Touchwiz vs. Sense

Nothing wrong with this phone, HTC does a great job with their sense OS. The unanswered question is battery life? With the launch of the Samsung S II coming shortly, and according to Daniel from MobileSyrup, the Samsung S II gets a very good battery rating!! Which one to choose. Now that phone makers have conquered the dual core issue, the manufactures need to work on less power consumption! It would be great to use your phone to it’s fullest and still have power left at the end of the day!

The SGS2 is a better phone then the nsation
The SuperAmoled plus does have way better viewing angle
QHD takes a lot of ressource – see benchmark difference
If the display takes more ressource it means more power consumption.
SGS2 no deathgrip GPS looks decent enough(look at youtube)
SGS2 has more internal memory
Sensation has better camera and flash
As of the issue of Sence or touchwiz i answer CM7 !!!!

SGS2 will have the custom ROM support like CM7 first.
SGS2 1GB RAM, faster GPU.
Sense 3.0 slows the phone more than TW4.
Sensation has a locked bootloader.
It’s an easy choice. Wait a week after the Sensation launches on Bell, then get the SGS2… on Bell lol.
gg Bell for getting the 2 best android phones on the market.

Any guesses on how much the GS2 will cost without a contract?
If they match the price of the Sensation which is $549.99 it should be selling well.

Not sure why anyone wouldn’t wait a few months longer for either the htc holiday or the nexus 3 and forget the sensation and the sgs2 ?

Because if you are willing to wait a few more months after HTC Holiday or Nexus 3, you’ll get a even better phone! The point is newer and better phones are always on the way. The discussion is for those who want a phone in the immediate future.

I love how people always dislike comments that say the phone is exclusive to bell.
#1. Atleast Bell is trying to bring new and better phones here faster unlike rogers and telus.
#2. Sure the customer service sucks, but I’d take an awesome phone that can atleast get coverage over decent customer service anyday. (as long as you know what you’re doing with a phone)
