SaskTel and MTS to release the iPhone 4 on April 26th

After months of waiting SaskTel has announced today that they’ll be releasing the iPhone 4 on April 26th. In a release SaskTel noted that “After overwhelming demand, SaskTel is extremely pleased to bring iPhone 4 to our customers in Saskatchewan… SaskTel remains committed to offering the best network and we’re sure our customers will love using the innovative iPhone 4 on SaskTel’s leading network.”

MTS also released a statement with the same availability. Kelvin Shepherd, President, MTS said “We are thrilled to be launching iPhone 4 and we know many of our customers have been patiently waiting for this day. With our unlimited data plans and free access to all MTS Wi-Fi Hotspots, we believe our customers will benefit from the best iPhone tariffs in Manitoba.”

As expected, the pricing is the same as the other carriers. The 16GB version will be $159 on a 3-year and $649 no-term. The 32GB model will be $269 on a 3-year and $749 no-term.

  5. MTS’s iphone plans demolish Rogers’ and telus’ iphone plans being the only carrier to offer unlimited data on these phones. Also, included with all iphone plans is tethering. Rogers will be losing a heck of a lot of buisness.

  6. Pretty sure that SaskTel also offers unlimited plans and tethering. And isn’t getting these from Bell, that’s why it took so long, they had to ask Apple directly.

  10. tethering is basically using your phone as a modem ie attaching it to your computer when wifi is not available.
