MTS will launch the iPhone 4 “in the coming months”

MTS is getting ready to launch their new HSPA+ network on March 31st and they’ve been silent on the upcoming devices. It’s known they have a handset agreement with Rogers so you’ll see most of what they offer at MTS. Good news has arrived today as they have revealed at least one popular device is coming… the Apple iPhone 4.

A press release just went out that stated “MTS will launch iPhone 4 in Canada in the coming months. iPhone 4 is the most innovative phone in the world, featuring Apple’s stunning Retina display, the highest resolution display ever built into a phone and FaceTime, which makes video calling a reality.”

  1. So let me get this right.. They are getting the Iphone, they have handset choices.. and Wind has none? I think we need a petition, Yes lets make one with facts we can not verify so that in the end legally the petition get quashed!

    • Wind and Mobilicity use the AWS spectrum (same as T-Mobile USA). That’s why you can’t use an iPhone on their network. If Apple develops a phone on the frequencies they use, you’ll be able to.

  2. By the time iPhone 4 launches, iPhone 5 will be out and then we’ll have to wait a few more years to get that. Anyway, MTS can keep their iPhone to themselves. I am tired of their crappy customer service.

  4. Say what you will about MTS, there’s always people unsatisfied with Customer service. For every person that is pissed off at MTS, there is their equal for Rogers, Telus, Bell, etc etc. There’s no pleasing everyone. That’s just the way it goes. Good move for MTS though. There are a lot of loyal customers who have been waiting for it.

  5. I agree with Jay, I have heard nothing but complaints from friends using Rogers and Telus.
    You will get a way better deal from MTS than you will ever from Rogers, Telus or Bell.
    MTS has always giving me great service with no issues,
