Wi-Fi only Samsung Galaxy Tab coming to Canada “late Q1 early Q2″

Now that Bell and Rogers have rocking the Samsung Galaxy Tab for about a couple months… it’s time for a little more news about this tablet. Yesterday it was announced at CES that a WiFi-only Tab will be available in the U.S. sometime during Q1 2011. Good news for us Canadians as this Wi-Fi only Android 2.2 tablet will become available in Canada soon too. A quick chat with Paul Brennan of Samsung Canada stated that this will arrive and be available for sale “late Q1 early Q2″. No info was given about pricing.

  2. “No info was given about pricing.” How could you say it is too expensive? And you are comparing it to a tablet that is still not available.

    • If they say “no info” it’s usually too high

If they confirmed a low price point then it would be good

  3. Samsung Tab is old news, especially a WiFi only version. Has anyone seen the toys unleashed at CES/11? My goodness.

  4. Those tablets with dual core cpu’s and android 3.0 look a lot more appealing now.

This is what they should have had when it first launched.

  5. Too little too late. The Tab had a chance to really make a big splash, instead it was underpowered and overpriced. Who is going to by this with the new tablets on the horizon?

Its a shame, its a sexy little device, and I probably would have gotten one if it was $150-$200 less.

  6. Unless the Wifi-only version is half the price of the original it’s still amazingly overpriced.

  7. Here is the deal in Canada Rogers Rep said there was no video conferencing or phone ability’s on the Tablet ! He never even heard of it yet ws quick to shut it down when i sai dthere was ! yet on many forums it was mentioned it didn’t and it was not only crippled /doisabled in Canada but the U.S as well! Which ask the question why use these attributes as a selling point on the Samsung website if your only going to cripple it !??

Also the U.S dropped th eproce in half 3 weeks ago do to low sales yet Canada seems content in raping your of a 3 yr plan with a 599.99 ( rogers ) or a 699.99 price Bell !!!

So i hate to see the BS they have in store as far as price goes for this crap !!

I had so high hopes !!! Thanx again CRTC and the Big 2 for this BS !!
