From what we knew the next Sony Ericsson device that was going to launch was to be a follow-up to the Xperia X10 mini, the the Xperia Mini Pro. However, taking a look over at the Sony Ericsson Canada site shows a better and bigger device: the Vivaz pro. One would believe this is destined for Rogers but the site only states that it’s “coming soon”.
Specs of the Vivaz pro have it coming with a 3.2 inch touchscreen display (resolution of 360 x 640), slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5.1 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, auto-focus, geo-tagging and can shoot 720p HD videos, 720 MHz processor, Video calling, full HTML browser, A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, WiFi. When this is officially available it will be in Black and White.
Check it here over at Sony Ericsson Canada
More soon!
…and knowing SE and rogers, it’ll be android 1.6.
When is Rogers going to suck it up and play nice with HTC?
I really wanted to jump back over there from Fido, but i’ll be going to Bell when the Desire Z comes out.

With the lack of updates for the X10 line I will never go with a Sony Ericsson device. They promised their owners an update to 2.1 months ago and they still have nothing…
I feel for those owners and the best way to teach SE, is by voting with your wallet and not buying them.

this is worse than SE’s lack of support for android, this runs on symbian^2. Sony Ericsson recently announced that they dropped all symbian development, which means that SE will not have any updates for this device.
