Samsung Galaxy S “Brilliant” listed in Best Buy Reward Zone

We know that Bell just launched the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. Virgin and SaskTel will be releasing this shortly as well. Rogers is on deck to release the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate “in the coming weeks“. In addition, TELUS is rumoured to be launching the Samsung Galaxy Apollo.

We’re not sure what to make of this one. Could be a typo of sorts but Best Buy has listed a device in their Reward Zone section called the Samsung Galaxy S Brilliant. The good news is that it’s an Android device. Curiosity sets in for a couple reasons as it’s pictured with the TELUS INQ Chat 3G and the link points towards the Bell Samsung Galaxy.

What do you think… something good coming to TELUS or just a typo?

UPDATE: It looks like this is a typo as Best Buy has changed the wording to Vibrant.

  1. This HAS to be a Telus Galaxy S. The Apollo is the August release, and I know that Samsung is planning on release, just as they are in the US, a Galaxy S on every major carrier. Since Bell and Telus historically have shared the same model of a lot of Samsung phones it make sense that it will look no different than Bell’s

    For those hoping for the Epic 4G I have heard that Samsung will NOT be releasing a Galaxy S with a keyboard in Canada this year. The Epic and its keyboard are an EXCLUSIVE device that Sprint doesn’t want anyone else carrying at all. If a HSPA model was made available here AT&T users in the US would just buy it here, unlock it and go, whereas if they really want it and the Epic 4G is the only Galaxy with a keyboard then their only option is to go with Sprint. I am sure in return Sprint has promise to heavily promote the Epic with commercials as their premium phone etc.

  2. Yeah it’s just the Galaxy S Vibrant. Some bonehole at Best Buy went to Samsung’s Vibrant page, read the catchphrase “The Smartphone is now Brilliant” and went with it.

  3. If you click the link, it forwards you to the Bell Samsung Galaxy, and lists it as a “fnal clearance”. Looks like it’s just a typo.

    Sources? The Samsung Galaxy S Pro aka Epic 4G is exclusive to sprint but i doubt the HSPA version will be as well.
