Best Buy puts Galaxy S Vibrant on sale for $99.99, throws in a $75 Gift Card

The Galaxy S Vibrant is now available and Bell has this available for $499.95 no contract. Good deal considering all the glorious specs it comes with. If you’re not into paying large amounts of money upfront and saving dough is your game, the 3-year contract is probably best. You can get the Vibrant over at Bell locations for $149.95 but why would you when you can save an extra $50 over at Best Buy. That’s right… this Android just launched and it’s already been put on sale for a low $99.99 on a 3-year contract. To make the deal sweeter Best Buy is throwing in a $75 Gift Card.

Check it out over at Best Buy
(Thanks Derek!)

  1. I heard that the phone also takes a sim card for those who want to use it on Rogers/Fido.. does anyone know the truth about that?
Could I unlock it and use it on fido?

  4. Reese I was with Rogers for 15years just switched to Bell,You ask why #1 Coverage. In 7 days since I switched my iPhone4 has way better service than my Rogers 3Gs ever did.#2 After 15years I was just another number they didn’t care.Reese Rogers owns Fido,Instead of making Fido better Rogers spent money else were and brought out Chater.Since Ted Rogers passed away Rogers has lost there way. That is why Bell/Telus have gained so much ground.

  6. Also, Bell isnt giving the $30 for 6GB data on the iphones are they? Unless its in store only.

I know Rogers is doing the 6GB for $30 and so is Virgin Mobile.

    But Bell isnt?

Not worth going with Bell if they arent doing that.

With regards to the Best-buy prices: oops, too late :)

Yes, it’s compatible with the Rogers (including Fido and Chatr), Bell (including Virgin and Solo) and Telus (including Koodo) networks. Once unlocked, a sim card from any of these carrier will work in this phone. It will not work with Wind and Mobilicity.

  14. Call customer service or just walk into a bell store. They can just change the feature right away. You can even add $10 per month for a microsim card for use with iPad. Which will share your 6GB data. But a $35 activation fee applies plus $5 for the Micro Sim Card.
And watchout for the feature change, your old data plan will be billed til the end of the next bill cycle date.

  20. answering my own question, can’t use the best buy promotion on a renewal, it’s new activations only. Picked one up today after looking forward to it for months and holding off on the legend. Only just begun to play with it but it’s amazing so far

I just talked to the Best Buy people today about renewal prices: if you are still on contract and have upgrade credit, the minimum you have to pay is the default 149.99. The 99.99 is for brand new Bell customers only. Sucks, I know.

  26. On older phones… maybe.
On a brand new launching phone… just forget about it.
On a brand new phone launch like this, 50$ off the real prices in store.. added a 75$ gift card… wtf do you want more.. that is a very stupid question at that point.. sorry.

  27. Candy287,

Minimum requirement is a $50 V+D. That’s as low as it can go and get you the phone for 99 as a new customer, or 149.99 as a renewal.

  28. At Best Buy new Bell customers also qualify for double data so for the $50 V + D you get 1GB data instead of 500MB. Galaxy S is a sweet deal for new customers.

  29. Just remember one thing!

When you guys sign these contracts because you can’t afford the expensive Androids don’t come back a few months later complaining how the Big Three ripped you off and how you are stuck, plus indicating that Wind/Mobilicity is better even though the better phones can’t work on their networks with poor service/coverage even if you buy them right out since you know why you are turning to Rogers/Bell/Telus and know how they are advancing when the Newbies won’t for many many years…it’s hypocritical to use the Big Three and in the same breath bash them after using the expensive phones when you get tired to blame someone and you had the choice.Same as getting a high priced car that you can’t afford and then blaming the Banks when it is repossessed…so know what you are doing and be happy with it.
