If you’re looking to score a Palm Pre before the holidays you best be heading on over the WirelessWave. They have been the forerunners of dropping the price of the Pre, this time to a measly $24.95 on a 3-year contract… a far cry from the original price tag of $199.95. For the Pre and their new webOS platform I must say that $24.95 is an incredible price!
Gotta love these early holiday pricing… More here at WirelessWave
need any proof the pre is a failure? (i like it btw) when was the last time you saw a reseller sell an smartphone at 24? usally 24 for a three year contract is a sub 200 “dumbphone”

The Pre is a great phone, but you’re right, it has not been as big a success as Palm needed it to be.
At $25 its a great deal though. Just think what $25 would have gotten a year or two ago. Pretty amazing.
Plus I can’t help but think there is a little bit of Bell sneakiness going on here. Perhaps trying to milk the Pre as much as possible before the Pre and Pixi are released by Telus in Q1.
I can’t help but think though that if the Pre and Pixi represent modern day entry-level phones then we’re in a good place.

When is the Palm Pixi being released? Because I would’ve thought they are trying to lower the prices on the Pre for the release of the Pixi.

I’d probably get it if I didn’t have to get a 3yr contract. It obviously didn’t do as well as the Iphone and Android phones, but it’s a fun little toy… Had some time to play with it and I was pretty impressed with it.

The iPhone is a much better phone. According to Consumer Reports Jan 2010 edition page26 “45 percent had preordered it,And 12 percent had waited in long lines in stores the day the phone went on sale. That’s dedication”.Also further down the article states 98% of iPhone users were satisfied enough to say they would definitely or probably buy the iPhone again.

I’d love to get a webos phone but I can’t deal with the keyboard on the pre.

Just a quick note….
When I visit the Wirelesswave website (http://wirelesswave.ca/), I am presented with the $49.95 on their splash page.
You have to browse their Holiday flyer to see the $24.95 option (on page 4).
Sorry Saskatchewan… it looks like you don’t get the Pre, period. What’s up with that, SaskTel?
