Palm Treo Pro coming to Canada?

The Treo Pro is the latest smartphone from Palm and could mark an incredible rebound for them.  This comes loaded with Windows Mobile 6.1, 320 x 320 touchscreen display, 2-megapixel camera (8x digital zoom and video capture), WiFi, built-in GPS, HSDPA cell radio (tri-band UMTS, quad-band GSM), 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, support for microSDHC card up to 32GB, 3.5mm headphone jack and is all snapped up with a weight of 4.69 oz.

There are several rumours flying around that (pending delays) that this is on its way to Canada with a targeted release date between September 17th and October 17th, 2008. Could this be three in a row for Rogers (Apple iPhone, BlackBerry Bold and now the Palm Treo Pro). No word on pricing yet,  in the USA it will sell for $549 contract-free and in Europe you can pick this up for €399 through Vodafone and O2.

Here is a video from Palm promoting the new Treo Pro. Peter Skillman, VP of Design, says “It takes a 100 little details and aggregate that make a tsunami of a great experience. And what we are really trying to do at Palm is nail all the little things and actually drive that across the board in the packaging, in the accessories, in the software, in the industrial design, in the finishes. All these little things matter”:
