Quick Rogers BlackBerry Bold Video Review

The BlackBerry Bold is going to massive and is truly a remarkable product.

Our first video review is below – much more to follow as this is only about 3 minutes. The Bold has smooth lines, clean edges and “leather” backing. We surprisingly found the Bold lighter than we originally thought and loved how it felt in our hand. The screen (480 x 360 pixels) immediately struck us as it lit up so brightly to proudly display its menu applications. The QWERTY keyboard is well designed and the actual phone is a bit bigger than the RIM products we’ve known in the past. In regards to the weight, we measured it against the iPhone and it feels a bit lighter.

The music player is one to remember. Such great sound comes from this baby – you can listen to your music externally through its speakers or plug in your earphones. The 2.0 megapixel camera (has built-in flash and 5x digital zoom)  was impressive and videos were clear on its screen. The Bold is preloaded with 1 GB of memory (additional storage of 16GB), has built-in GPS, tri-band HSDPA, WiFi.

    4. Does the BOLD support UMA – Unlicensed Mobile Access ?

This is the ability to access cellular mobile voice and data services over unlicensed spectrum technologies, such Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (802.11). The Bold should use GSM when out and about, and automatically switch to a UMA-enabled Bluetooth or Wi-Fi local network when in range, such as at home or in the office.
