Each month, Google provides developers with an update on Android’s distribution numbers. While these updates are a great resource, they don’t do a great job of providing a historical perspective on the growth and decline of different versions of Android.
Enter Viktor Bohush, an Android developer who has created a time-lapse that shows exactly how Google’s mobile operating system has evolved over the years.
Starting with Cupcake and moving slowly but surely toward Marshmallow, the time-lapse is a fun look at the history of Android version distribution.
Bohush is no stranger to creating these type of videos. One of his previous creations shows the growth and then massive decline of Internet Explorer to Google Chrome; another looks at how different versions of Microsoft Windows have fared over the years.
