Umm is there anyone who doesn’t access facebook from their mobile device?

    • beyond

ME ME!!!! I don’t access it period lol

    • Stephen_81

I am a Monthly active user. but certainly do not access Facebook from my mobile device. I log into facebook when I am bored or when I am told I have an event invite by someone in person, else I really have zero use for the site.

I find it terribly laid out, the forced changes and the loss of ownership over my images all make me not want to use the social network but family pressures and sites like the huffington Post make it mandatory that I have an account. so I do. But never on my mobile

      Only boring people get bored.

    • Neil V

Not me, haven’t been on Facebook since 2007.

    • DocGuin

I wouldn’t have it on my computer or my phone. I do not feel the need to advise the world or any part of it of my every move or decision……these people lack self esteem and common sense.

  • Collin dubya

or could care less because they have nothing to hide.

    • Neil V

Collin, it’s not about not having anything to hide. Educate yourself about privacy a little bit before you make yourself look stupid.

      Your tinfoil hat is showing.

    • Guest

Not as much as your ignorance.

    • Collin dubya

You confuse ignorance with a grasp of reality.. Only those worried about privacy are those with something to hide. Its plain and simple. If you think that not using facebook helps protect your privacy you have no idea what you’re talking about. If your that worried you should throw away your smart phone. Stop using search engines, email, instant messaging and credit cards.

      But you won’t.

    • Neil V

You presumptions make you sound like a fool. Good luck.

    • Collin dubya

And yours make you sound like a hypocrite. Take care.

    • Neil V

Hey “Collin”, tell me your phone number so we can chat about this…

    • Collin dubya

If my privacy is so transparent due to my use of social networking why don’t you just get it yourself?

    • Neil V

It’s OK, I get it, you don’t want your personal information available to just anyone… LOL.

    • DocGuin

      Good plan

    • DocGuin

Your wrong but that’s not surprising. I don’t use a mobile phone…..no one really needs one …people just want them. The people who walk around with a phone in their hand or their pocket are sadly lacking in common sense.

    • Neil V

If you have “nothing to hide” why use some pseudonym on here? Use your real name. Maybe share your Facebook page as well…?

    • DocGuin

When you have no life you have nothing to hide….that is why they are on Facebook at all.

  • John_JJP

and how many of those are secondary (etc) accounts? I’ve known of people to have multiple accounts, which would certainly skew those numbers.

  • Stephen_81

Has anyone purchased a product they saw advertised on FaceBook? I know I have not nor have the Facebook loving family and friends even the stay at home mothers say they don’t look at the advertising. A dollar spent on Facebook advertising is a dollar wasted I believe.

    • Max Fireman

I don’t even see the ads anymore. We all focus on where the “ads” are not and ignore them %100, something our brains magically do. I like my brain.

    • Stephen_81

I agree! I listen to Radio ads, and I see TV commercial ads, but very very rarely do I see an ad online and click to find out more. Now a Blog post about something I’m likely to read and then do some research, or if a friend purchases something I’m likely to do research but banner ads just don’t do it for me, and sponsored ads by my contacts that are done without their knowledge make me want to avoid the company that paid for them.

  • Stephen_81

Friendship is predicated on having Facebook?

  • Deli

Half of Canada is on facebook! lol

    • sicsicpuppy

And the other half is alot smarter

    • DocGuin

      And that is very sad…….

  • DocGuin

Is there really that many insane people in Canada with no way to communicate in a normal fashion?

  • Hail Eff

I’m still not happy using Facebook on my phone because of all the needless but annoying background processes. Location tracking, constantly trying to sync contacts, photos and videos, always turning itself on in the background trying to get notifications, even though I’ve already apparently turned those off. Facebook’s app really doesn’t need to do all of that. I hate using it, but would use it more often if it stopped constantly trying to track everything I do and stopped draining my battery life like a hungry leech.
