During Apple’s iPhone event today Tim Cook, Apple CEO, stated that “iOS 7 will quickly become the world’s most popular operating system” and that they are expecting to the 700 millions iOS device next month. No specific word yet on how many iPhone vs. iPads have been sold.
The revamped iOS 7 is expected to become available in the coming weeks, but Craig Federighi, SVP of Software engineering, noted “Virtually overnight hundreds of people will download iOS 7. It starts with the lock screen.”
Update: iOS 7 will be available on September 18th
