Default Bragging Rights for Good Rates...

Ok, a few of you already have your HTC Dream and I need to know, with the various providers out there who has the best deal right now. Ideally all these plans should go into a spreadsheet and be compared line by line and I'm sure the bean counters who work for bell, rogers and telus are doing just that but there are also factors like coverage and customer support. So... who has the best dollar deal on right now for basic rates for the HTC Dream in Ontario? (Meaning basic smartphone rate with a new phone.) Anyone some solid info to share?

Clearly this information can be used by more than just myself and I'm sure it will be greatly appriciated by many of the 'lurkers' here on the board.

Thanks again for you input!

Since there is no CDMA version of the HTC Dream (to my knowledge) Rogers/Fido would be the only carrier in Canada to choose from.

So your choices are to either buy and sign a contract with Rogers or buy an unlocked one and go with either Rogers or Fido.

If you buy an unlocked one (or one from branded by T-Mobile USA) you will not be able to browse the net on 3G speeds as T-Mobile USA uses a different frequency then Rogers or AT&T. So make sure you are getting a headset that supports 850/1900 bandwidths and not 2100 bandwidths.
