What does it means Instant Messaging (Smartphone 50 - or see link) in this plan? Does it means that I can send and receive free SMS?

It means that you have a choice of one of the following items (you can only choose one)

* Unlimited local Bell-to-Bell calling (mobile & home phone)6
* Double your anytime minutes
* Unlimited text, picture & video messages
* Unlimited nationwide talk & text to 5 numbers
* Unlimited nights & weekends starting at 5p.m.

If you choose the unlimited 'text, picture & video messages' you will not pay any extra, on top of the $50 that you pay monthly for your plan.

I will add that 'SMS' (text messaging) is not the same as 'instant messaging'

If your referring to under the '500MB of Data' heading, that means that IMing (ie skype, GMail Chat, MSN Messenger, etc.) uses part of your data allowance
