Just was thinking why i was commenting on a thread, what if we could have any device add an app to get any OS. Yes i know won't happen because they lock it so they can only have their OS on it. But it would be nice drop a WebOS or even Android on to a new Touch Pro2 that would be sweet.
Drop your thoughts down? Am i crazy to hope that this may happen?

It's not crazy, the Linux and BSD developers have been trying to put those two OSs on every device imaginable. It could be conceivably possible to achieve. There was a time when you actually had options for an OS on your PC and people could pick and choose. The problem with that is that the hardware support is so diverse it bloats the operating system (kinda what happens in Windows :) It would be fun if you could pick your device and your OS, problem is now that you might like the device hardware but not that crazy about the OS and it makes the phone of less value to you and harder to find the 'perfect' phone
