I have got confirmation that there will be two new devices which are heavy duty devices. Samsung Rugby and the ZTE Rock, Rogers does listen to customers. I have many older customers and construction workers complaining how their phones never last in their hands. I think Rogers sees theres a big market for more durable devices and plans on hitting it hard with launches of various phones accustomed to the need. Smart move!

I have to admit though, the military grade Samsung is pretty sweet LOL I get a lot of requests for ultra tough phones from construction workers, contractors, builders, etc. It's good that Rogers finally took the time to listen to this particular market segment.

That is good news. I worked a dirty job and really bashed up my phones pretty good just in day to day use, something rugged would have been great. I'm in an office now so I can get something fancy lol

It's nice that they have rugged phones but it would be nice if customers could have the nice phones but last a bit longer. Like have something to put on the device like invisibleshield that would help keep it from getting damaged. Invisibleshield will only work to an extent they need bring something that will help for say construction workers, now that will be a hit.

I work for TELUS. You ask if rugged devices are really that popular?
MIKE, TELUS' iDen network has only rugged phones.
I think that it is great that Rogers finally got a hint and started releasing them.
The answer to your question? YES...Yes they are.
