I just purchased a Rogers Blackberry 8220 and now I want to unlock it.
Has anyone used the services Unlock.MobileInCanada.com ?
Their price of $20 is a heck of a lot more reasonable than other sites, especially those down south.
Thanks.

Try this first. There's a contest on BGR for 500 BlackBerry unlock codes. So that means, that 500 people have a shot at winning a free unlock code for their BlackBerry. Before you buy, I would enter there and see if you can win one and save yourself some money.

The sponsor of the contest is Horizon Wireless, and I've heard a lot of really positive things about that company when it comes to unlocking.

Thanks for the tip. I just submitted my request for the unlock code. I'm too worried if I don't win as $20 isn't too bad of a price to pay to get an unlocked phone.

If you're unlocking it for personal use you can try one of the sim-lock bypass devices I posted recently @ http://mobilesyrup.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2221&postcount=9
they're cheaper than the usual $20+ unlock service

Just went over to Crackberry.com and there is a big news posting that says anyone that has a Rogers-locked blackberry can get a FREE unlock code for the next day or so!
Oh well, it always seems like there is something better around the corner but if you keep waiting for it to arrive, you'll never get it!

You can get an unlock code for free, simply call the network provider and provide them the account info. They will send you the unlock code in 5-15 days.
Or you may buy the unlock code from third parties.
