What could be more simple?
Install MissingLight to your BlackBerry and when you get a missed call, your LED will blink purple until the BlackBerry is touched. The small 1.8kb application is not configurable, and appears to work on 8*** and 9*** devices from what I can tell. MissingLight is free (at least for now), and so far is one of the only alternatives for BBAlerts, for this very narrow purpose.
