I think that we can make a deposit to the winners cell phone account for $1000.
(if the winner does not feel comfortable giving their number out, we will cut a cheque or give a gift certificate of some sorts for a grand... and trust it'll be used for its intention.)

i think a gift certificate you be the best way to go if availible via carrier, I am on bell and my nimber is 905- 960-6285. You can deposit the cheque momentarily. Lol :)

Just wondering -- if the $1000 goes as a credit to the cell phone account, wouldn't the carriers have their usual restrictions? (e.g. if we wanted to add a data plan they'd force us to sign another 3 yrs.. or something crazy like that?

I think the idea of contests for phones are always good. Though I'm guess you don't want to repeat the same one over and over again. But I'm sure that all of us can come up with some pretty awesome ideas.

To make it interesting, why not make one of the contests for an unlocked phone not available through a Canadian carrier, something popular that's hard for us Canuck's to get our hands on.

Then you can do the classic and have some of the contests coincide with the launch some new models.
