I'm eligible for upgrade Feb 2nd and going crazy with which phone to get. I need to be told which one to get. So here are my finalists.
iphone
Bold
n95

All three of these will meet my work requirements but they are all different in different ways and it's just a matter of me actually choosing. So you tell me. The phone with the most votes is the one I will get!!

Bold all the way. I would go with the Blackberry Bold slimmer than the nokia, qwerty keyboard against the iphone also u can copy and paste with having it hacked. Nokia N95 is well outdated compared to these two devices. Go BOLD or Go Home lol I joke. Bold is my vote.

I think the n95 is really cool but I do feel it's a bit out dated as well. And let's face it, it's still expensive for a phone that's been on the market as long as it has. The Bold is sweet!!

Personally i like smaller phone and i would say e71 or curve 8900. If you really need 3g then e71 or the bold. n95 is tired and old and with the n96 and n97 on their way its kinda late to join that band waggon. same with the iphone unless your app happy. they all have great features but as i mentioned in the rogers forum, it depends on what your primary fetures are.

I don't even get 3g where I am right now but should someday. The apps was kinda why I had been leaning towards the iphone but the BB's are hard to say no too.

If you're looking for a raw business device I would definitely recommend the
Blackberry Bold. Heads up: there's no Mac compatibility.

If you're looking for a media rich device than I would definitely recommend the iPhone.

I've owned both devices and they both have their individual strengths and weaknesses.

N95 is quite dated as mentioned as we are seeing the N97 being released soon.

Hey if the area you live in doesn't have 3G covered fully just yet jump over into the Curve 8900. I love it, its a perfect successor to the curve 83XX series. You have EDGE which has been tweaked with to be faster even though its EDGE. Also you got bb experience with gps and wifi bonus you have UMA availability. Resolution on the Curve is alot better than most phones out there.

For 50 bucks more wouldn't the bold be a better buy? I think 3g will come to my area, just not sure when....

the Bold is a bit bigger and heavier than the 8900...

Did I read somewhere the display on the 8900 is as good or even better than the bold or was i mistaken?

8900's display is 480 x 360... Bold is 480×320

Yes...lol the 8900 has a better screen...

I have owned an iPhone...without 3G, there is no point. The browser is SUPER slow. I would say Curve 8900 hands down!

Its compact, SEXY, and just plain cool....did i mention that is screen is awesome!!!!

THe other phones are not worth the extra $$$....

I'm a huge nokia fan, because, to be honest, they are the most durable and the best devices out there. N95 is still definitely outdated, but there are a few new nokia devices coming to rogers in a couple months, as well as a bunch of other great phones like the storm. If you can wait a little bit before scratching your itch, I would definitely recommend it, otherwise the 8900 is probably your best bet.

what other Nokia devices are coming to Rogers in a couple months?

it was in the Rogers/Fido Roadmap, aka their plan for the next year, they revealed they are getting the N96, N97 and the 5800 Xpress music (great touchscreen phone), and at least one of them is going to Fido, apparently.

It's an easy process of elimination. Decide firmly on what you want, go into a store, get them to turn all the phones your considering on, play with them, and the phone that meets the most of your criterion wins. Done.

It really depends on what you do daily?
Gaming, browsing more iphone bigger screen, no MMS even after jailbreaking using swirly isn't 100% reliable, battery life is poor if you're a heavy user are my main issue with this device.

Bold, is perfect for phone as it has the cleanest earpiece i've tried so far, the screen is excellent but for gaming it's too small for my liking the qwerty keyboard is perfect for my hands and the learning curve to use it for me is very low.

You might want to look at the E71 if you're into smartphones but imo it's best feature is it's elegance, the qwerty keypad might be too small for most, people with fat fingers should avoid this phone altogether, the camera is a 2 step autofocus some people may not like the images produced but it's a lot better than most.

The N95 8gb is very nice and the battery is way better than it's earlier models 1 and 2 mostly the 3 is similar with a few less similar features. some people will say it's too big but if it's too small then some will find fault in that too lol. The camera is EXCELLENT (i'm still partial to Sony Ericsson's) and there are lots of "free" apps, games etc and both the battery and processor will handle it but the iphone with the bigger screen wins here. The only negative for me is the Rogers logo on the phone :)

So imo it's a tie with Bold and N95 8gb
iphone is 2nd and E71 is a consideration.

The price of N95 should drop when the replacement N comes out (guessing here) btw the E71 has no physical brnading and is "made in finland" for those that care, how long that lasts i don't know.
