hi i'm going to switch to Rogers in Feb and i'm getting an iPhone4 but kiiinda iffy on the data plans, i'm leaning towards the 50$ one with like 150mins, 9pm unlimited, texting, and 500mb data. but it doesn't have caller id or voicemail! is there anything out there that's cheaper/better?
thanks!

Rogers had the 6gb for 30$ a little while ago and thats what I'm currently on, which is the highest amount per dollar you can get, cause right now it's about 65$ for 5gb. Plus they changed up how you can view plans, they use to have this big box of all these different plans and you clicked on one to see more details, not seeing that anymore....
Best data plan also depends on what you are doing with your phone, if you are doing most of your browsing at home on a WiFi connection get the smallest plan.

Rogers has the best plans out of the big three, unfortunately I can't get on Rogers in Central Newf :(

You could always take a regular voice plan and add a data option ($25 for 500mb, $30 1gb, etc...) and then add a value pack that has voicemail, caller id and unlimited texting.

I have the 6GB data plan as well but am paying only $20 for it under retentions. Now I don't have to worry about overage and I can tether with my laptop for mobile data access on the go. See what retentions can offer you, they'll have something that fits you. If your a new customer then not sure what Rogers can offer.

What did you tell retention when you spoke to them?

generally you have to threaten the retention dept with leaving. If you have enough "revenue" and "tenure" they will bend if your request is reasonable.

Thats exactly it, you have to have some history with Rogers, and IMO Rogers has the best retention plans out of all of them.

Retentions is who got me my Samsung Focus after I told them I would switch to telus and get the LG Optimus 7 rather than the Focus if they wouldn't give me my 2 year upgrade(after they did the 30 month BS).
