Well looks like us GSM users aren't left out in the cold with the Palm Pre because there has been sightings of the GSM version of Palm Pre with Vodafone SIM inside. Palm hasn't announced it to my knowledge but soon maybe they are working out the kinks.

Also in the article they have stated that Palm is working on upgrading the OS which might hit the Sprint Palm Pre and also hit the GSM version.

i second that, phonearena has another article about the GSM Palm Pre. This is even better news of the up coming device. But sad to say we won't be getting it in Canada so i guess unlocking it will be the goal.

palm pre is gonna come out in like Q4 2009 in canada, but its gonna be CDMA, which means bell or telus. But if it comes out for GSM then its probably gonna be rogers.

I doubt that it might come out this year, for sure the CDMA Palm Pre will be out earlier. But maybe Palm can do us a favour and allow us to get it by the end of the year. Maybe just maybe. I know i am kind of stretching it.

So I guess this means a minimum Q2 2010 for the Pre to arrive on Rogers?

That blows :(

Nice videos thank you for sharing :)

I think the Pre will be huge but I am guessing Canada will lag behind the world and perhaps both version will hit Canada which could make things interesting with the packages assigned to the phone.

Palm Pre with the latest OS is considered to be an iPhone killer but this has never happened in the the cell phone industry and even on individual consumers who even might not have deep idea about the OS n all even they like the shape of iphone a lot better as compared to palm pre. However its just the general trend towards iphone where as iphone has a lot basic consumer end issues e.g. bluetooth, ring tones, syncing with only on itunes library, USB etc. I personally think palm pre with is preferable for basic users who are not very tech savvy, whereas those who can manage to install no apps in there phone and update, unlock n jail break their phones, for them I will recommend iphone.

Have a look on this you tube link for a a basic review on pal pre new OS
