Hi, after waiting for a long time for captivate, I have decided to buy the Vibrant. I was wondering if it is p[ossible to unlock and use it with ROgers? Is there any band issues?

I am currently running the galaxy s as well...I used the unlocking methode that you can find online however I also found an app on the market that does the exact same...I tried it with the app and it provided the unlock code and the freeze code...I love this phone...Cheers

Same here, bought the Vibrant outright, unlocked with the App, easiest thing in the world EVER. AND you get the front facing camera :) BEST phone I've ever had...and I've had quite a few!

Are you having the same issues I am? Cannot connect to Kies, GPS is touch and go and no 3 button recovery mode...I am very frustrated with those issues however it is still a great phone
GPS issues should be fixed with 2.2, which is rolling out soon

Yeah but how am i supposed to update the phone if I cannot connect to kies? It will only connect to m*** storage however it just keeps saying no phone is connected when using the kies...I have tried installing all the drivers...installing several different versions of kies...And nothing at all...I am just about ready to put this thing for sale and get a captivate...I am not sure if bell will even help me since I am with rogers...Getting quite frustrated..

Not sure what your issue could be... mine works fine. Took a bit of fiddling during the root/unlock but kies works fine (although its a horrible app overall). I've only seen one update firmware update come through and have gone through one phone update (note... you lose your data if you don't back it up first and there is no warning of this).
