I'm up for an upgrade now on my contract and have been lookin to get a smart phone. I have been on the site here checkin out all the new phones and have been talking to friends about what they got. i was most excited with the iphone but now with the delays and issues i'm wondering if it is worth continuing to wait unknown amounts of time. i was at bell playin with the vibrant and thought it was really nice i was curious how they stack up against each other

virbant has a larger screen and more buttons. Android vs iOS 4. the hardware is virtually identical because samsung made the apple chips. sammy mave have beefed up thier GPU but that means nothing as android does not have the 3D games apple does.
if it were me i would go vibrant

Thanks for the advice. i was looking forward to the face time feature with the iphone though and i see that the galaxy has i front camera too but i was unable to see how it worked, the only thing i saw for it was the bell video call app for facebook that you have to pay for. do you know how that works or if there was video calling for free that was phone to phone

there totally is a video call app, its called "fring". it is pretty awesome i played around with it for a while. all video calls would use your data big time and would thus not be free. but if you were on WiFi i think it would be much better. i heard facetime uses around 4 MB/min which is why it only works over WiFi.
Go with the Samsung S I have a friend that just traded his Iphone4 in for the Samsung... and he loves it.. Android is amazing.. I came from the iphone3g a year ago to android and will never look back
As someone who just purchased an Iphone I can honestly say I should have gone with the Vibrant. Iphone is nice and everybody always goes "ohhhh, an Iphone can I see it" but I find it very basic. The more I read the more I realize just how many benifits the Vibrant has. Monday morning Ill be trading in my Iphone...... Cheers!

Plus, a BIG plus for many people is the cost. An iPhone 4 will cost you at least $159 while there are promos on Galaxy S where its free.
Samsung is a genious...
Many dumb***es would say "The Galaxy S" doesnt have Flash is a BAD THING..
But to me.. its a GOOD THING ... iPhone 4 uses Single LED flash... This type of flash doesnt even have enough power to make a difference in your picture quality.. its more like a BULL**** feature to trick noobs to buy it.
You need at least a Dual LED/Xenon Flash...

thanks all for the advice i went with the galaxy and it seems pretty cool from what i used of it but i got it right from the bell store and it has been used already text message convos dating back to aug 27 and the girls facebook is still signed in, stupid bell.
but one other question about it does it not vibrate on text messages or other alerts or just on calls cause that kinda sucks

Typically iPhone 4 is the way to go regardless of whether you want it. You just sell it for a profit and buy whatever you want + have money on the side.
Nonetheless, the galaxy S super amoled alone makes it very tempting.
