I orderred an x10 on April 6th at about 11:00am on the web. They solicited me for the order via email, and their site promised delivery by tomorrow (friday April15) They charged my credit card but did nothing else. Numerous calls to customer care. They all respond with ... "we can't tell whether the order is stalled or whether it is on it's way ... maybe you should wait to see if it arrives".
They do not even keep a list of who has orderred the phone so cust service reps can tell if an active order exists(or so they say). And it takes huge amounts of time to talk to anyone, when you are lucky enough to get someone who speaks english the CANADIAN way.
Anyone else pre order a phone and get just empty promises? I am really suspecting that a 3 yr contract with this co. would be a mistake.

You do realize that Rogers only has call centers in Canada, right? What is the 'Canadian' way of speaking you wrote about?

I think you are reffering to Indian call agents with Indian accent. Let me tell you something, today I had to go through stupid rogers customer service, I called and somebody, say C, picked up and with her Canadian english (Canadian accent), she told me WHAT SHE CAN'T DO FOR ME. I got frustrated hanged up and called again, AND THANK GOD a guy with Indian accent told me, how sorry he was for the situation and that he apologizes for everything. Then he fixed the problem.
When I look for service I look for how much the person knows, NOT what their accent is!! And if I had to choose between two dumb representatives I would still choose the one who does'nt LECTURE me on what they can't do for me.
For your situation I think you can just call the Visa and cancel your payment, and then pick up the from a rogers plus store. Hope this helps.

@ Bikram,
No No No No No.
The most useful skill a call agent can have is to be clear and understandable.
Call agents with thick non-canadian english (or french if you are french) accents is on my top 5 list of things that annoys me the most.
I dont expect the call agent to know everything. That is why the call agents can get technical ***istance from experts. I just want to be able to understand them.
It's even worse when it is an unsolicited rogers call agent ringing to tell me about a promotional offer.
Don't they have some kind of minimum standards when they hire these call operators? Or they have some special new immigrant hiring policy where standards don't apply?
And before any rogers call agents flame me for being racist, is it wrong to expect some kind of language standards for this job? No it's not.
^ Idiot!
Enough said.
