WIND releases Twitter for BlackBerry first??

We love Twitter, and we love BlackBerry, so we’re excited to be the first to get Twitter® For BlackBerry® (Beta Version) out to our Infinite BlackBerry customers later tonight when the app launches.

Why do we love Twitter for BlackBerry?

* Get direct messages as soon as they arrive
* Search for and follow friends you love, celebrities you watch, and topics and companies that interest you
* Share your thoughts and join conversations
* Post a link from your BlackBerry Browser
* Take pictures and upload them directly to Twitter


It’s easy to get started – Infinite BlackBerry subscribers will automatically have Twitter for BlackBerry added to their Downloads folder later tonight. Once you see the Twitter icon appear in your Downloads folder, just click to launch the application. We wish we could have offered it to Social BlackBerry customers at the same time, but don’t worry, we’ll get it to you as soon as we possibly can.

Very cool. Although the Beta has been available to lots of people for a long time, it's neat that a carrier would release a Beta app to it's customers.
I just got an email from Blackberry announcing it's official release, so I guess Wind customers didn't get too much of a head start anyway.

yeah Wind customers got nothing really. The app was pushed out last night and anyone who has a BB and was aware of this would have been able to get app Wind or not. Way to capitalize on something that has nothing to do with your carrier and making it sound like it does.
