I'm using the bolt browser and haven't really ran into any problems.
What kind of problems have you noticed?

I've also been using BOLT. I really don't like it though, it takes too long to load. Navigation is slow, and takes too long to load some pages.

Well with the Bolt browser I have been noticing that there's errors like browser has not internet connection. But using my other browsers I have perfect connection also it seems to lagg when I visit sites. Also scrolling around seems to be very slow. Getting down to the bottom of the site seems for ever.

You have to remember that some of the issues we are having is because this is just a beta build, so there might/will be some quirks, but its all good, i'm sure there will be updates. I know the slow scrolling issues have been addressed by the team, so lets just wait and see when a new build comes out

Aside from the bugs, how is the browsing experience with Bolt? Have a friend who's got the beta build and he said it's better (or has the capacity to be) than the Blackberry browser. True?

For pure HTML browsing, Bolt is a lot better then the RIM browsers. For WAP browsing, I prefer the blackberry browser

my opinion i think the Bold browser is better experience than the bb browser. Like people have stated maybe the issues will be solved once it comes out of beta. Praying its soon.

Update:
Just this morning BitStream has followed up on realizing more of the potential in the Bolt Browser, as they have released version .83 which includes some BlackBerry-optimized updates:
1. APN configuration automated for BlackBerry devices. BOLT now auto-detects network details. This will eliminate the "internet not available" error messages, and manual APN configuration requirements, some BlackBerry users were experiencing.
2. BlackBerry dedicated back key support. Also supported on some SE devices.
3. BlackBerry scrolling enhancements. Scrolling on track ball BlackBerry devices is now faster and smoother.
4. BlackBerry-specific enhancements to match BlackBerry system short cuts such as "." when space is pressed in URL mode.
5. System fonts will be utilized instead of Bitstream fonts for lists and options, resulting in increased usability.
6. Improved server support, resulting in a more stable browsing experience.
7. Automatic reconnect after client/server disconnect
8. Usability enhancements for URL, Favorites and History entry and management.
9. Instant switching between landscape and portrait modes (this formerly required a server round trip). This should also enhance user experience on accelerometer powered devices such as the BlackBerry Storm.
10. Auto-Update. When a new release is available, BOLT will prompt users to download and install the new release directly from BOLT.
11. Blackberry Specific Scrolling/navigation enhancements including space to page down one screen and space+shift to page up one screen, 't' to jump to top of page, 'b' to jump to bottom.
12. Double tap/double click as a shortcut to toggle between zoom out split screen mode, and full screen mode.
To Upgrade: If you already have Bolt installed your device, just open up the browser and visit a web page (go to Google). You will be prompted that a new version is available and from there can download and install (you'll have to reboot).
Get Bolt Browser: Bolt Browser is still in Private Beta mode which means its availability is limited. Good news though, you can still get it thanks to our CrackBerry referall code! Go to BoltBrowser.com and click over to Download. Enter 'CrackBerry' into the referral field on the form and you're in!!

Bolt mobile browser enters public beta
http://jkontherun.com/2009/02/15/bolt-mobile-browser-enters-public-beta/
just signed up for the public beta and got this e-mail:
Will let you know how it goes:
Hello,
Recently you signed up for a beta account with BOLT, the new mobile web browser from Bitstream.
In response to your interest in BOLT's beta program, we're happy to provide you with access to a BOLT beta download.
BOLT is still in beta testing, which means that you may encounter a bug or two as you install or run the browser, however our security and privacy controls are complete.
To install BOLT on your phone, please direct your phone's native browser to one of the links below and follow the onscreen instructions to download and install BOLT.
Please note that each mobile device implements a set of security policies that determine if an application is allowed to run. As a security measure, some devices require downloaded applications to be signed with an appropriate certificate to be allowed to run.
BOLT is signed with third-party certificates from VeriSign and Thawte. These signatures enable the device OS to confirm BOLT's authenticity, provide access to secure device APIs, and help ensure that BOLT is free from malware and/or viruses. Signed applications enable you to use BOLT with fewer permission dialogs for file and network access from your device's OS.
* These invite codes are personalized, and can only be used once. Please do not click them in this email or they will be invalidated. They must be entered into your phone's native browser to initiate installation.
* For BlackBerry devices, you will need to install the following BlackBerry specific version:
BlackBerry specific build: http://boltbrowser.com/b/bhux5v
* For regular devices we recommend you install the dual signed version first, followed by VeriSign then Thawte signed. If you have any trouble installing any of these three versions, install the unsigned version:
Dual Signed Build: http://boltbrowser.com/b/shux5v
VeriSign Signed Build: http://boltbrowser.com/b/vhux5v
Thawte Signed Build: http://boltbrowser.com/b/thux5v
Unsigned Build: http://boltbrowser.com/b/nhux5v
As one of the first people to try out this service, we would really appreciate hearing your feedback! At http://www.boltbrowser.com you can leave feedback, request support, or troubleshoot basic issues via our FAQ page.
Finally, we want to say thanks for being one of the first to test-drive BOLT. We're working hard to build the best mobile browser possible but all our ideas and internal testing will never compare to the feedback we get from our beta testers. Please let us know your likes and dislikes, as we truly value your feedback.
Please contact support@boltbrowser.com for any queries and do include this message.
Thanks,
BOLT team at Bitstream

Very slow...These errors i would expect in an Alpha build...not beta. I wish Skyfire was availible on the BB.

I have used skyfire and I find it to be slow on my friends phone. BOLT is faster and what errors are you getting? I haven't had any and I have the BB Bold

I have the Storm. Don't like the browser.
Skyfire has full flash support, not just video support.
I love it. It is on my HTC Diamond.
BOLT is okay on a regular phone, but touchscreen they have not mastered.

the bold browser has been a better experience for me, lately. The bolt doesn't seem to be slow to me, its complete opposite its fasttt. It renders the websites better than any browser i seen on the berry. Will make my browsering experience much better but no browser has been great when it comes to forums. Try to see which one has best forum experience.
